Optical frame samples, technical drawings and material references on a workbench

EYEWEAR DEVELOPMENT & MANUFACTURING

From an early idea to a frame ready for review

Start with a drawing, physical sample or one of our product examples. We support frame development, sampling and production, with materials and finishes reviewed for your design.

Discuss your project

THREE WAYS TO BEGIN

Three ways to start your project

Bring a drawing or sample, choose a product example, or discuss an existing design direction for private label.

Optical frame sample and development drawing on a workbench

01 — Start from your design or physical sample

Share a drawing, reference image or physical sample. We review the material, construction and dimensions before agreeing the development and sampling scope.

Discuss your design

02 — Develop from a LINGYA product example

Choose a LINGYA example, then discuss material, color, fit, branding and other details. Changes are reviewed against the frame construction; examples do not imply ready stock.

03 — Existing design / private label

Explore existing design directions for private label, then discuss materials, colors, finishes, logo and packaging. Design availability, customization, MOQ and timing are confirmed after project review; this does not imply ready stock. Customer designs and project information remain private.

Discuss private label requirements
Every detail can be customized around your brand
Frame Material
Choose a material around the desired weight, profile, color depth and manufacturing route.
Color & Finish
Review solid, translucent or patterned colors and polished, brushed or matte effects against a physical reference.
Dimensions & Fit
Confirm lens width, bridge, temple length and fit. Changes are reviewed together with the frame structure.
Construction Details
Discuss hinges, bridges, nose pads, temples and connections as part of the complete frame.
Logo Application
Specify artwork, placement, size and color. The marking method is selected for the material and finish.
Lens Options
Develop the lens specification around the intended use, frame geometry and customer requirements.
Packaging
Coordinate cases, pouches, cleaning cloths, boxes and protective packaging with your brand and shipping requirements.

From brief to shipment

An agreed sample and specification guide production. Quality checks run throughout the process.

  1. Project brief

Share the frame direction, quantity, target market and preferred timing.

  2. Technical review

Review materials, construction and the changes needed before sampling.

  3. Development / sampling

Develop the agreed details and prepare samples for review.

  4. Sample confirmation

Resolve revisions and approve the sample and final specification.

  5. Production preparation

Confirm the order, color split, components and production schedule.

  6. Bulk production

Manufacture to the approved sample and agreed specifications.

  7. Quality control

Check finished frames against the confirmed project requirements.

  8. Packing & shipment

Pack to the agreed configuration and coordinate shipment.

The details around your frame

Lenses and packaging are configured for the confirmed project, not a fixed package.

Lenses

Specify the intended use, color and performance. Lens options are reviewed for compatibility with the frame design.

Define the lens direction
Define the lens direction
Share the required lens material, color or tint, and any polarization, photochromic or coating requirements. Availability and compatibility are checked for the project.
Match the lens to the frame
Lens shape, dimensions, curvature and fitting requirements are reviewed together with the selected construction. A reference sample helps communicate the intended result.
Confirm requirements for the intended market
Tell us the destination market and any testing or documentation required before the specification is finalized. Performance claims must match the agreed lens and supporting documentation.

Packaging support

Coordinate presentation and protection around your brand, frame and shipping requirements.

Agree the packing specification
Choose the components
Options include protective packaging, eyewear cases, pouches, cleaning cloths, inner boxes and outer cartons. Packaging is configured according to the confirmed project requirements, not a fixed package.
Develop the brand details
Provide logo artwork, color references, placement and any required product information. Printing or other branding methods are reviewed for the selected packaging material.
Agree the packing specification
Confirm the accessories included with each pair, labeling or barcodes, packing quantities and protection for the intended shipment method. Packaging quantities and timing are reviewed during quotation.

DEVELOPMENT TIMELINE

Quantity and timing

Sampling and bulk production are planned separately.

Sampling time is confirmed after review of the design, tooling and revisions required.

Bulk production

30–40 days

Typically 30–40 days after sample approval and confirmation of the final specifications and production order. Materials, construction, surface finishing, required processes and order requirements affect the final schedule. Shipping time is separate.

Typical MOQ per style

300 pairs

Around 300 pairs per style, with different colorways of the same style combined toward the total. The color split and final MOQ are confirmed after review of the material, construction, finish and order requirements.

Before you start

Practical details to help you prepare the first conversation.

Can different colors be combined toward the MOQ

Yes. Our typical MOQ is around 300 pairs per style, counted across the colorways of that same style. It does not mean 300 pairs in every color. Share your preferred color split so we can confirm quantities against the material, finish and production requirements.

Do I need a complete technical drawing

No. You can begin with a sketch, reference image, physical sample, product example or a short description. Include any dimensions or features that are important to you. We review what is available and identify what needs to be resolved for sampling.

How much can I change an existing product example

Color, finish, branding, lenses and packaging can be reviewed around an existing frame. Changes to dimensions, material or construction may require additional development or tooling. We confirm the feasible scope before proceeding.

Which frame materials do you work with

Acetate, titanium and metal frames are our main production focus. We also review other material directions on a project basis. Share the exact material and construction so availability and production suitability can be confirmed before sampling.

How are sample costs and revisions handled

Sampling costs, tooling requirements and the scope of revisions are reviewed for the specific project before work begins. Share your requirements early so the quotation and development plan reflect the intended frame.

When does the 30–40 day production estimate begin

It refers to bulk production after the sample, final specifications and production order are confirmed. It does not include design development, sampling or shipping. Materials, construction, finishes and the required processes can change the schedule, which is confirmed for each order.

Can you follow our lens and packaging requirements

Yes. Share the lens specification, packaging references, artwork and destination market. We review compatibility, available options, quantities and timing, then confirm the agreed requirements with you.

How do you control quality before shipment

Quality checks run from incoming materials and components through in-process inspection and finished-frame review. The approved sample and confirmed specifications guide the checks before packing and shipment. Project-specific inspection requirements should be discussed during technical review.

What should I send for a useful first review

Send a reference or model number, the intended material, quantity per style and color split, target market and preferred delivery timing. Add lens, logo and packaging requirements where known. A complete specification is not required to start the discussion.
